Reading Time: 2 minutes

We live in a fast-paced world with a growing culture of interruption. With a mountain of work at hand and distractions intruding, it can be hard to carve out time to reflect and think new and different thoughts. How then can we know if we’re on the right track? That the work we’re doing is creating the most value? That the business will still be vibrant in 5 years? One answer is to carve out time to slow down and start exploring what might create the most impact, purpose and joy.

I have a Masters in Coaching with a particular focus on adult playfulness as a pathway to creativity, innovation, stress-reduction and much more. Playfulness is basically about looking at the world with fresh eyes and seeing possibility. So many adults stop doing that because being an adult is serious. The focus is thus more on who you are rather than what you do. So, I won’t come in trying to create longer to-do lists with a host of new goals.

In fact, in a world that is increasingly complex, my response is to offer simplicity rather than more complexity. In response to the faster pace, my commitment is to slow us down. In response to generic programs, my promise is that everything will be completely personalised, and built around what it is you, your team or organisation is looking to achieve. It all comes back to impact, purpose and joy.
